Artsy Fartsy Family is the product of Lisa (the artsy one) and Brandon (the fartsy one) Russell. We have six Artsy Fartsy kids, Emilee is 15, Meagan is 12, Gabriella is 8, Madelyn is 6, Grace is 3 and Evelyn is 18 months old. That’s right, they’re all girls.
The Artsy Fartsy Family is a weekly web show that’s designed to bring families together through art. Co-creation is a powerful force.
The Artsy Fartsy Family has three goals
#1- the Artsy Fartsy Family Show, a 20 minute web show featuring funky-cool projects that families can do together, using easily obtainable art supplies, like recycled packaging. The show can be seen each week on this website. It’s also available on Youtube, and bloggers and web designers can share it with their readers, too. On this site, enjoy printable resources like patterns, supply lists and additional information, pictures and projects.
#2- The Artsy Fartsy Family book- about peaceful parenting with art. Creating art opens your heart, and sharing creative space with your children is an act of love that no book club or soccer game can compare to. learn how to share art with your children, connect on a deeper level and honor the creative forces in your home with the Artsy Fartsy family.
#3- The Artsy Fartsy Studio, in the San Juan Islands, where families can come to create together in art classes, an open studio, and interactive free-flowing sessions that focus on using art to define a relationship, instead of defining art.
